News:

Walk Update: Walk 2005 numbers and statistics are finally in. 53 Teams, 550 walkers. Sponsorship income - $50,000. Walker income - $52,175. Online donations through the NAMI National website - $6,837. Total walk income - $108,013. Total walk expenses (including cost of 2 kickoff celebrations, post walk reception, sponsor awards, walk day expenses, affiliate payouts, and printing) $10,280. Lots of people and sunshine, but we came in lower than expected in income, which will impact several of our ongoing programs, but we are working hard at finding alternative funding sources for those!

Thanks to all the Affiliates for working hard and building teams. Affiliate totals:
Nashua - $982. Littleton - $2,225. Peterborough - $3,654. Concord - $257. Seacoast- $910. UpperValley- $350

Affiliate Walk Money Distribution: If you have not received a copy of this distribution and need one, please let me know and I will get one to you. The distribution this year is 10% of the team total is sent directly back to the Affiliate group, and another 10% of the total of all Affiliate walk income is placed in a special account that Affiliates can access for special events or projects.
This method was created to help utilize the walk income for affiliate projects. Some groups never spend the walk income and other groups are in great need of income to fund special projects. We are in need of 3 people to volunteer to review the requests for the common fund money. This is something you do from your own home, except for one meeting per year to make recommendations to NAMI NH regarding the process. I estimate it the time commitment to be only 5-10 hours per year. Affiliates fill out a simple application, the application gets forwarded to the 3 members of the committee, they review and approve it and NAMI NH sends out the money. PLEASE contact me if you are interested in helping out on this committee.

Planning is underway for the NAMI NH Walk 2006: Yes it’s true, we have set new goals, made some changes based on team captain requests and input and have a new walk chairperson, Leigh Roche a NAMI NH board member!!! We are also setting up a listserve to hopefully be able to communicate with committee members without them needing to come to concord as much. If you have any interest in coming on board to help with our largest anti-stigma and fundraiser. PLEASE let me know!
