This day long conference is designed to provide participants with knowledge of practical and effective strategies that can be used in a variety of settings to improve student’s outcomes. Audience: family members, mental health providers, school personnel, administrators, counselors, school nurses, para-educators, psychologists, social workers, special education and general education teachers, and other interested in children’s mental health.

Application has been filed for Continuing Education Credits

An application has been submitted for CE Credits for Licensed NH Psychologists. (Note: Credits granted are approved for all NH mental health professionals licensed by the NH Board of Mental Health Practice). NHPA is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer Continuing Education for psychologists. NHPA maintains responsibility for the program.

Professional Development Hours are available through the New Hampshire Department of Education.

Dan Habib Education Revolution (working title)
presented by Dan Habib, Filmaker in Residence, Institute on Disabilities

Dan Habib’s new film Education Revolution (working title) documents the lives of students with emotional/behavioral challenges, and shows innovative educational approaches that help these students to succeed. Habib will show a sneak preview of the film followed by a post screening conversation with Kelsey Carroll, its central subject and Kathryn Francoeur.

Presented by NAMI NH, in collaboration with Granite State Federation of Families, New Hampshire Association of School Psychologists, New Hampshire Association of Special Education Administrators, NH Department of Education, NH DHHS-Community Based Care, New Hampshire Family Voices , New Hampshire Parent Teacher Association, New Hampshire Psychological Association New Hampshire School Nurse Association, Parent Information Center, and Wediko Children’s Services.

The keynote presentation was funded by a grant from The Endowment for Health. Conference funded in part through the Family Mutual Support Grant awarded to NAMI NH from the NH DHHS-Bureau of Behavioral Health.
