Support: Child and Adolescent Network
Formerly NAMI NH Child and Family Services
PURPOSE: To give focus and direction to the NAMI NH Board of Directors with respect to services and supports needed by children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances and their families. To support parents/caregivers of youth with serious emotional disturbances to have a strong voice and role in the decisions and policy making for New Hampshire mental health systems of care.
MISSION: The Child and Adolescent Network, a committee within NAMI NH (the National Alliance for Mental Illness New Hampshire), will collaborate with youth, families, natural supports and providers to:
- Ensure New Hampshire has a family driven mental health system of care.
- Identify barriers or obstacles preventing full access to supports and services.
- Participate actively in the decision and policy making that affects the direction of New Hampshire’s children’s mental health system of care.
- Provide families with current and researched based information and mental health resources.
- Support family wellness.
JOIN US! Parents/guardians of children and adolescents with emotional disorders, friends, family, and providers are invited to join this “Network.” Joining can mean attending meetings, serving on special workgroups, helping spread the word, providing input through telephone or email, etc. Many hands make light work!
