Education is at the heart of what we do. We provide public education and training, bringing accurate information about mental illness and suicide prevention to the workplace, communities and service providers throughout New Hampshire.
NAMI NH Educational Programs
Families and friends of those coping with mental illness can participate in educational programs that are designed to help them gain a greater understanding of mental illness, cope better, worry less and feel newly empowered to advocate for better treatment and services for their loved one.
Our programs are taught by family members who have experienced living with mental illness.
Parents Meeting the Challenge
Parents Meeting the Challenge is an 8-session program for parents and primary caregivers of children and adolescents with serious emotional disorders.
Family-to-Family is a 12-session program for family and friends who have an adult in their life with a mental illness.
Side By Side
Side by Side is a 6-session program for families and caregivers of older adults diagnosed with a mental illness.
Connect is a designated National Best Practice training program that increases the competence and confidence of professionals and commmunities to respond to suicide incidents.
