August 2026 Volunteer of the Month

Our August Volunteer of the Month is Kathie Roy, Family-to-Family Education Program Leader!

NAMI New Hampshire Volunteer of the Month Kathie Roy

Kathie Roy has been volunteering as a Family-to-Family (F2F) Education Program Leader for 10 years, and her impact is felt directly by the families she supports. Following one virtual F2F class, she and a co-leader continued meeting weekly with participants for several months after the program ended, helping them maintain the connections and support they had built. That extra commitment made a lasting difference and even inspired three participants to become NAMI NH volunteers this year.

Kathie’s volunteer service goes far beyond leading NAMI NH’s Family-to-Family program. She is deeply committed to strengthening the program for families everywhere. After attending NAMICon this past May, Kathie met with representatives from NAMI National and shared thoughtful feedback about the F2F program.

She then gathered input from fellow volunteer leaders and submitted detailed recommendations that will be considered in future program updates. Her willingness to speak up, collaborate, and advocate for improvement reflects her dedication to supporting families and ensuring the program continues to grow and evolve.

Through her compassion and dedication, Kathie creates meaningful connections, strengthens our community, and embodies the very best of volunteer service. We are grateful for the hope she brings to Granite State families.
