October Volunteer of the Month – Sharon Stout
Sharon is a compassionate, engaging, positive, and highly dedicated volunteer for NAMI NH in the Keene area. She never misses an opportunity to spread the word about the education, support, and advocacy that NAMI NH can provide to individuals and families impacted by mental illness and suicide. Sharon has been leading the family support group in Keene for more than 10 years. She has taught Family-to-Family classes and is always willing to staff a NAMI NH table at a resource fair out in the community. She has recently become a CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) Program Role Player, has been asked to speak to a class of middle school students about her role as a volunteer, and will be talking to the staff at Monadnock Family Services about the HOPE (Helping Overcome Psychosis Early) Program.
