Forty years ago, NAMI New Hampshire Founder Peggy Straw gathered six hurting families around her kitchen table. While she couldn’t predict a global pandemic would trigger a 25% rise in anxiety and depression worldwide, Peggy knew the intrinsic value of helping people recognize they’re not alone. She saw the critical importance of connecting folks to help and hope. As we reflect on 40 years of providing hope, help, and health to Granite Staters affected by mental illness and suicide, we are grateful for the generosity of the many donors who support our mission.
